BAND BIOGRAPHY
FeverStreet was formed in 2018 by three comrades who have been performing together in other guises for over three years. Our eclectic and infective mix of Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Soul are performed to soothe the psyche and inflame the fervour to kick up your heels!
Founder FeverStreeters, Bruce " Scamp possessed" Griffin - piano man; Dave " Grand rhythms" George - perfect percussion and Rachel " Medicinal kook" Murray lead vocals, were joined in 2023 by Lizzie " he's called Burt" Barnes on tip top double bass.
FeverStreet has had the joy of sharing the stage with some of the South West's top Jazz musicians. We are passionate that our music is performed with authenticity and the occasional generous dose of pandemonium!

LIZZIE BARNES
Double Bass
Lizzie took up double bass aged 12 and has played in jazz bands and classical orchestras throughout her musical career. She toyed with electric bass guitar for some time before returning to her beloved double bass to join FeverStreet.
She is our most recent addition, bringing to the stand her enthusiasm, musicianship and passion.
RACHEL J MURRAY
Lead Singer
Singing for her supper since sunny school days. Rachel's musical roots have grown from glorious Gospel, Choral splendour, Jazz and the Blues. Chicaning through Rock and Roll, Opera and Musical Theatre, she draws from her diverse musical experiences to bring a richness and joie de vive to her vocal performance. Hallelujah!
BRUCE GRIFFIN
Piano and Vocals
Bruce Griffin – Piano and Vocals born and raised in Canada lo these many moons ago, Bruce is a well-travelled veteran of scenes and styles, venues and locations. Well-versed in many music genres, from Acid-Rock to Zydeco, Bruce’s joyous and infectious playing and singing never stray far from his first love: the blues.
DAVE GEORGE
Drummer
Dave hails from London and has been a full time professional drummer all his working life. He has travelled the world and has played every type of music. He brings all his experience and ability to be the driving force in the band.
